This is an excellent, original early example of a Mills No 5 MK I, hand grenade introduced in 1915. The internal primer holder is the early type made of brass instead of the later alloy. This brass primer holder was also used in the centre cast No5 Mills grenades. The grenades body has a letter T cast in under the fly off handle.
